“Lemon Lush” ~ with real whipped cream
Why buy “whipped topping” by the carton when homemade is so easy, delicious, and chemical-free? Here’s how.
Whip until thick and creamy 2 cups heavy cream. Add a 1/2 cup or so of powdered or granulated sugar (to taste) and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until smooth. Chill and serve over strawberries, chocolate pudding — or plain in a goblet with a spoon!
Tip: I keep a carton of whipping cream in the refrigerator most of the time. It’s an indulgence, but so versatile! Not only can you add a dollop to the brownies you just took out of the oven, but it’s easy to stir up some lemon ice cream, use it in a delicious white sauce, or make the best chocolate pudding recipe I found after a year of taste testing.
