The joy of cooking great meals at home

Chris RavI adore kitchen time with  Christopher. Chaotic-looking kitchen aside, we have fun! It’s tempting to reflect about the countless happy hours we’ve spent in the kitchen since he was a child ~making  craft projects, doing science and math, cooking … but this is really about making memorable COVIDtine “event meals” that we would normally eat in restaurants.

These aren’t “quick ‘n’ easy.” These are planned, shopped for, anticipated cooking events set to music with detailed instructions at the ready.

Whether as a family project, a dinner club event, or a special meal for one, I save those recipes, record the date, and make a note about what worked and what might work better next time. Here is the latest and a preview of what’s to come. It’s been a good summer!
