Welcome! We’re so glad you are interested in our tutoring project. I provide individual literacy tutoring for children, youth, and adults in my home and at Springfield’s Lincoln Library.
Who — This project is designed for students who are one or more years behind grade-level expectations, youth and young adults who need to write essays for acceptance into college/tech/military schools, and adults who wish to refresh skills for admissions exams.
What — Each lesson in reading and writing is customized for each student. I’ll spend enough time, and tailor specific lesson approaches, for students to master skills. By working privately, we can spend longer in areas where skills are weaker, and move more quickly through areas of greater competence.
Conventional homework is also available, as well as professional editing for essays and research papers.
When — Currently, I am able to offer daytime, evening, and weekend hours. As spots for the fall and winter fill in, and I return to substitute teaching in public school, availability will change.
Fees — Our fees for individual private lessons are substantially lower than other local organizations that offer a set program, and discounts are also available. Please e-mail for more information. I will call you to discuss what you’re looking for and how I might be helpful, firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the future, we hope to have a team of teachers, board of directors, and dedicated space for pre-K through 12th grade. I’m researching charter schools now to make this dream a reality. Currently, we’re offering low-cost tutoring for children and youth who need special education services, and adults who are financially limited.
Every dollar you donate will help! Thank you!
